DeskCNC 2nd Generation Controller Board

The DeskCNC Controller utilizes a microcontroller to perform the timing and interpolation functions for smooth operation under Windows.
  • Runs smoothly on any system that can comfortably run Windows (95, 98, Me, XP, NT, 2000).
  • The new controller, called the 2nd generation DeskCNC Controller, is capable of 125,000 steps per second from dedicated hardware. The computer interface is Serial RS-232, the same as in the previous controller board. It has 8 input and 8 output lines, step and direction signal lines for 4 axes, and a single quadrature encoder connector. The board is about 1/2 the size of the previous board, and the firmware is flash reprogrammable from within the DeskCNC software. Target applications for the encoder input will be lathe spindle sychronization for threading, manual dial jogging with a pendant, and/or plasma torch height controller. It comes complete with ribbon connecting cables to your step & direction stepper or servo driver boards.
